Very unusual jewelry set in antique gold with black glass cobochon jewels and glittering faceted black glass beads. The centerpiece of the necklace is a very old brass stamping in the shape of the face of a satyr, a horned creature from the Grecian mythology with a goat-like lower body. Satyrs were known both for wild parties together with the god of wine, Dionysos, and all the willing nymphs they could lay their hands on and also for their beautiful music, played on panpipes. This necklace, including all ornaments, is about 47cm (about 18.5") long and it has an extension of about 5cm (about 2") that ends with a black faceted glass bead. The necklace has a lobster claw clasp that can be fastened in any link of the chain that is made of antique treated unplated brass. The earrings are for pierced ears and they have simple hooks in Edwardian style. The hooks not included, the earrings are about 40mm (1.6") long. |
The price of this jewelry set is $53.99. |
